PhD Studentships in Low Carbon Technologie

Our Doctoral Training Centre (DTC) in Low Carbon Technologies brings together a cohort of postgraduate research students and their supervisors to develop innovative technologies for a low carbon future based around key interlinking themes:

- Low Carbon Enabling Technologies
- Transport & Energy
- Carbon Storage
- Climate Change & Energy Systems Research

This is an opportunity for you to study for a 4 year fully funded 'Integrated PhD and MSc' in Low Carbon Technologies within an established campus wide interdisciplinary Institute ‘Earth, Energy & Environment: E³’ and be the first to study within the new £12.5m energy research building.

- 14 studentships available for 2011 entry
- Includes full fees and a maintenance grant of £15,500 per annum (tax free) for UK students. EU candidates will be eligible for a fees-only award.

Each student will develop high-level expertise in a particular topic but with the excitement of working in a multidisciplinary environment stretching across science, technology, economics, business and policy.
